Hoist Wench Project

AMAR160 Project, the greatest direct hands on machining experience I have received. Tasked with fully machining a Hoist Winch from scratch capable of lifting 500 lbs. In the machining process I became familiar with lathes, mill and drill press, welding, molten casting, material properties and 5 axis CNC machining.

The quintessential class in the Engineering department through CSU Chico besides capstone is MECH340 (Machine Design), here in Spring 2025 our class was tasked to design and build a raceable RWD RC car with steering for the semester-long project.
